Lone Star Automated Systems Helps Renfro Foods Halve Its Case Size

Renfro Foods also installed an Orbit 200 bottle cleaner from McBrady Engineering Inc. This cleaner comprises a wheel that rotates across the conveyor belt, carrying the jars upside-down over a series of air jets to clean out dust and debris.

Getting the bottles aligned in a single row for the new cleaner required enhancements to the material handling system. The new system, coordinated and installed by Lone Star Automated Systems, eliminates dead plates and uses poly belts of varying speeds to winnow the jars down to one lane with no jamming or excessive impact.
